YMCA Championship Season
2025-2026
The YMCA Championship Season is the exciting finish to our short-course season! It features four championship meets where swimmers have the opportunity to compete against the best athletes in the region, state, and nation.
Eligibility: To compete in any championship meet, swimmers must participate in at least three YMCA-sanctioned meets during the regular short-course season.

Meet #1: YSCAP League Championships
Dates: February 21–22
Host: Chambersburg YMCA Swim Team
Location: Mercersburg Academy – Lloyd Aquatic Center
The YSCAP League Championships is open to all swimmers who have competed in at least three YMCA meets during the season.
Meet Format
- Ages 9–14: Prelims & Finals
- 9–10: Top 8 return for A Finals
- 11–12 & 13–14: Top 16 return for A & B Finals
- Ages 15 & Over: Timed Finals (one swim only)
Event Limits
- Up to 3 individual events and 1 relay per day
Team Reward: Every participating swimmer receives a LANY Bag Tag.

Meet #2: Central District YMCA Championships
Dates: March 6–8
Host: York YMCA Swim Team
Location: Graham Aquatic Center, York, PA
District Championships are open to swimmers who:
- Have competed in at least three YMCA meets, and
- Have achieved the required District qualifying times.
Commit Color Guide
- Black time: Qualified
- Red time: Not yet qualified
Qualified swimmers will be entered automatically unless coaches are notified otherwise.
Meet Format
- Timed Finals for all age groups
- Top finishers qualify for the PA YMCA State Championships.
Event Limits
- Ages 11–21: Up to 3 individual events per session (6 total)
- Ages 10 & Under: Up to 4 individual events per session (8 total)
- Maximum of 5 total events per day, including time trials
Team Reward: Every participating swimmer receives a Championship T-shirt and goodie bag.

Meet #3: PA YMCA State Championships
Dates: March 20–22
Host: Uniontown YMCA
Location: Peak Aquatic Center, Morgantown, WV
This meet is for swimmers who qualify at the District Championships.
Qualified swimmers will be entered automatically unless coaches are notified otherwise. If your swimmer cannot attend, please let the coaching staff know as soon as possible.
Meet Format
- 10 & Under: Timed Finals
- 11 & Older: Prelims & Finals
Event Limits
- 11 & Older: Up to 3 individual events per day (9 total), plus relays
- 10 & Under: Up to 4 individual events per day (8 total), plus relays
Team Reward: All State Championship swimmers are invited to a team dinner and bowling celebration.

Meet #4: YMCA National Championships
Dates: March 30 – April 3
Location: Greensboro Aquatic Center, Greensboro, NC
The YMCA National Championships is the highest level of YMCA short-course competition.
Swimmers qualify by achieving the published National qualifying times during the current season. Only swimmers who meet these standards are eligible to compete.

FAQs
Swimmers who have attended at least three YMCA meets will compete in the YSCAP League Championships. Districts, States, and Nationals require qualifying times.
Please use the commit app to indicate if you can attend. Notify the coaching staff as soon as possible so meet entries for relays can be adjusted.
