Holiday Classic

What is the Holiday Classic?
The Holiday Classic is a fundraising swim meet hosted by our team at the Graham Aquatic Center in York PA to raise funds that support essential team operations. Proceeds from the event help cover team events, pool rental fees, coach salaries, and more.
Why is it important?
This is our largest fundraiser of the season and a crucial part of our team’s success. We rely on the support of every family to help make the event a success.
What are the volunteer requirements?
Each swim family is required to:
- Volunteer for two sessions over the weekend
- Donate one item to hospitality/concessions
There will be seven sessions available:
- Friday: Distance session
- Saturday & Sunday: Morning Sessions + Mini Session (Saturday 8U mini session, Sunday 500 Free) + Finals each day
Any family not fulfilling these volunteer requirements will be charged $200 through the team Commit site. Please understand—your time and presence are far more valuable to us than the fee. We don’t want to charge anyone. We simply need all hands on deck to run this incredible event!
Do I have to volunteer even if my swimmer isn't swimming?
Yes. Volunteering is a team-wide requirement, regardless of whether your swimmer is competing. Hosting a meet takes a village! Hosting a swim meet requires help with timing, check-in, awards, officials, concessions, hospitality, and more. Please reach out to the PAC with any questions PAC4LANY@gmail.com
What if I can’t volunteer?
We understand that conflicts may arise. If you’re unable to volunteer during the meet weekend, please reach out to the Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) as early as possible to discuss alternative ways you can contribute or fulfill your family’s requirement. We will try to make accommodations, but please understand we might not have alternate opportunities and you will be required to pay the nonparticipation fee if that happens. What times does my swimmer need to qualify for?
Swimmers must meet USA Swimming "B" motivational time standards to qualify for this meet. You can view the time standards here:
More information about events and qualifying times will be shared ahead of the meet. Please keep an eye out for communication from the coaching staff.
What happens if my swimmer is not swimming?
Even if your swimmer doesn’t qualify or chooses not to participate, families are still expected to volunteer. The meet is a major team effort, and your support is needed to help us run it smoothly. How to Sign up to Volunteer
Parents can sign up for volunteer jobs (timing, hospitality, setup, etc.) directly through Commit.
- Log in to Commit using your family account.
- Select the Meet/Event you would like to volunteer for.
- Click on the Jobs tab.
- Review the available volunteer positions and select the job you would like to work.
- Click Save or Commit to confirm your assignment.
Volunteer positions are filled on a first-come, first-served basis, so sign up early when possible. Thank you for helping make our meets successful!
New to swim meets? No problem! Many jobs require little or no experience. We will provide guidance, and experienced volunteers are always happy to help you learn.
How to Sign Up for Concessions & Hospitality Donations
We use SignUpGenius to organize donations for swim meets, team events, and hospitality.
- Click this SignUpGenius link.
- Review the available donation items and quantities needed.
- Select the item(s) you would like to donate.
- Enter your information and click Submit & Sign Up.
- Bring your donation to the designated location by the requested date/time.

What to Do If You Can’t Volunteer
We understand that conflicts happen. If you are unable to volunteer during the Holiday Classic weekend, please contact the PAC as soon as possible to discuss other ways to help. We will do our best to provide options, but alternate opportunities may not always be available. In that case, the nonparticipation fee will apply.
