VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS

Volunteering is an essential part of helping our team succeed. It takes many hands to run a swim meet, and your support helps make it all possible! Meet revenue directly supports the team by helping cover coach salaries, pool rentals (like Millersville), and other important expenses.

• Each family is required to complete four (4) volunteer credits during the swim season.

• Two (2) of the required credits must be completed at our December Holiday Classic meet.

• Volunteer opportunities include swim meets and designated team events throughout the season (sign ups will be through the commit website).

Any volunteer credits not completed by the end of the season will be billed at $100 per unfulfilled credit through our Commit billing system.

For additional details, volunteer opportunities, and Holiday Classic information, please visit the team’s website at www.swimlany.com.

FUNDRAISING

Fundraising is an essential part of supporting the Lancaster YMCA Swim Team. Funds raised help cover coaching, pool rentals, equipment, athlete development, team events, end-of-season celebrations and awards, and other expenses that enhance the experience for all swimmers. Each season, the team will designate one or more official fundraising opportunities. Participation in required fundraisers is a condition of team membership. Our primary required fundraiser is Laps for Lightning, and each family is expected to meet the minimum fundraising requirement of $100 during this event. If additional fundraising needs arise, the team may designate other required fundraising opportunities during the season. Families will be notified in advance of any additional fundraiser, including participation expectations and deadlines. By registering your swimmer(s), you acknowledge that you have read and understand the team’s Fundraising Policy and agree to participate in all designated required team fundraisers. Complete fundraising details, including current requirements, will be available on the team website.
